Prolapsed Placental Polyp

Chronic retained placental fragments usually result in late postpartum bleeding. Rarely, the rtained pacenta presents as a placental polyp. The sonographic findings in a case in which a placental polyp prolapsed through a dilated cervix into the vaginal canal are described.
