Sonographic Evaluation of a Papillary Carcinoma of the ThyroidDepartment of Ultrasound, Horizons Ambulatory Surgery Center, Carthage, Illinois; P. O. Box 385, Augusta, IL 62311 This case illustrates the sensitivity of ultrasound to detect very small lesions that cannot be imaged by other procedures, such as magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, or nuclear medicine, because of their size limitations.
