Body Stalk Anomaly: Sonographic Pathologic CorrelationDepartment of Diagnostic Radiology, Guthrie Clinic Ltd., Sayre, PA 18840 Body stalk anomaly is a severe defect and developmental abnormality that occurs in approximately one of 14,273 births. Sonographic examination of a 19-year-old woman, gravida 1, at approximately 22 weeks gestation, revealed a fetus with multiple coexisting congenital anomalies. This abnormality is uniformly fatal.
