Inflammatory Myositis

Nonvascular Pathology Detected on a "Routine" Venous Duplex Examination

The use of ultrasound in the evaluation of deep venous thrombosis presents an opportunity for the detection of various nonvascular abnormalities. When a vascular etiology can not be found, and effort to rule out nonvascular causes of symptoms should be attempted.
