Biometry/Axial Length in Ophthalmic Ultrasound

Biometry/axial length is an A-scan measurement from theeleading edge of cornea to the leading edge of the retina. This measurement is used to calculate the implant power of the intraocular lens (IOL). The biometry examination is a primary Wand essential part of cataract extraction and IOL surgery.
