Ultrasound-guided Thrombin Injection of an AVF Pseudoaneurysm

The purpose of this case report is to demonstrate the effectiveness of duplex-guided thrombin injection for hemodialysis access m:ainteniance. A 72-year-old female complained of nine-month onset of pain and tenderness at the site of her left upper extremity arteriovenous fistula Prosthetic arteriovnous fistula graft body pseudoaneurysms were fund on fistulography and confirmed with color flow duplex ultrasound. Duplexguided thrombin injection was perfrmed resufiing in successful thrombosis of et graft pseudoaneurysms. The procedure was performed in an outpatient setting the patient tolerated the procdue well, and graft patency was preserved.
