University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Department of Radiology, Denver, Colorado Sonography plays an integral role in evaluation of the brain in premature infants. Screening premature infants for intracranial hemorrhage has been proven to be extremely sensitive and specific. Sonography also plays a critical role in the evaluation of intracranial lesions in this population. We present a case of an unusual manifestation of a brain lesion in a premature infant.
