Obstetrical Sonography: Opportunities for "Teachable Moments" in Patient Care

The routine obstetric ultrasound examination can provide multiple opportunities to promote good prenatal health habits. Four common scenarios (Obtaining Routine Fetal Measurments, Obsering Fetal Breathing Mvements Demonstrat the Umbilical Cord, and Demonstrate the Plaenta) are presented as "teachable moments" that ithe sonographer mayuse to promote principles ofigood health care:durin preancy.
