Women's Healthcare, Elk Grove, Illinois Early diagnosis with vaginal ultrasound is critical to the conservative management of cervical ectopic pregnancy. Ultrasound findings of a persistent gestational sac within the endocervical canal during medical treatments, when accompanied by a continued decline in HCG levels, does not necessarily signal a failure of the medical treatment.
