Uterine Arteriovenous Malformation: Sonographic Diagnosis in a Patient Presenting With Heavy Postpartum Vaginal BleedingSt. James Healthcare Uterine arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) mostcommonly present with vaginal hemorrhage. A caseof uterine AVM diagnosed in a patient who arrivedin the emergency department with heavy vaginalbleeding 5 weeks postpartum is presented. Etiology,sonographic color duplex diagnostic criteria, andtreatment options are discussed.
