Complete Twin Molar PregnancyLoma Linda University Medical Center Molar pregnancy, also known as gestationaltrophoblastic disease, is one of the most commonbenign tumors, occurring in 1 in 1000 pregnanciesin the United States. Sonography plays a major rolein diagnosing a molar pregnancy and monitoring thecomplications that may occur when a fetus isinvolved. The author presents the case of a completetwin molar pregnancy, the rarest form. In mostcases, the fetus is terminated or does not survive. Inthis case, the patient, acknowledging the risks,decided to proceed with the pregnancy.
