But it is not only limited to women, and because men face questionable breast masses too, the importance of ultrasound keeps growing. A painless breast lump is always a concern to anyone—man or woman. As breast lumps in men become more common, breast ultrasound assumes an increasingly important function in differentiating benign from malignant lumps and guiding large-core needle biopsies.
