Malignant Phyllodes Tumor of the BreastA Case ReportMayo Clinic Jacksonville-Ultrasound, Davis Building 2 East, 4500 San Pablo Road, Jacksonville, FL 32224.winter.cindy{at}mayo.edu Phyllodes tumors are very rare fibroepithelial tumors that comprise less than 1% of all solid breast lesions. They can be classified as benign, borderline, or malignant. Their appearance is very similar to fibroadenomas by radiographic and sonographic imaging modalities. Biopsy is the only proven course for a definitive diagnosis. Treatment options include but are not limited to wide local excision and mastectomy.
