Acardius acephalic monster is one variety of a rare complication of monozygotic monochorionic twin gestations. Pregnancies with a greater fetal number are increasing with the use of fertility drugs. When a serious complication like acardia affects one fetus, the accompanying risks to the other fetuses, particularly the cotwin, are difficult to assess. An experience with an acardius acephalic monster in a quintuplet pregnancy is described here.
