Urachal Cyst Presenting as a Complex Mass in an AdultUltrasound Department of Southeast Missouri Hospital, 1701 Lacey Street, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701. Most urachal cysts remain clinically silent until an infection develops in adulthood. The majority of urachal cysts are seen sonographically as anechoic tubular structures in the anterior abdominal wall. Mixed echogenicity, however, may be seen within the cyst when infection is present. A case report is presented, as well as a review of the differential diagnosis.
