Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Albany Medical College, Albany, New York. Renal agenesis has usually been associated with high levels of maternal serum alpha-fetoprotein (MSAFP). A case involving a pregnancy with virtually no MSAFP and a fetus with severe renal dysplasia on one side and renal agenesis on the other is presented.
