Impacted, Infected Retained Vaginal Tampon in a Patient with Vaginal Duplication

A case of an impacted, infected, retained vaginal tampon in a patient with vaginal duplication and uterus didelphis bicollis is presented. The ultrasonographic and magnetic resonance imaging appearance of a retained vaginal tampon and the possible etiology of this event is discussed.
