Infection Control for Today's Sonographer

There are many opportunities for the spread of nosocomial infections in ultrasound laboratories, and there are no current, widely accepted guidelines for decreasing this potential. Students at the University of Oklahoma, in Oklahoma City, conducted a survey of sonographer practices concerning infection control. The results highlighted many areas in which sonographers could decrease the risk of cross infection.
