Missed Abortion with a Coexisting Ectopic Pregnancy Encased within an Intraovarian Hematoma

An ectopic pregnancy is defined as a pregnancy following implantation of the fertilized egg on any tissue other than the mucous membrane lining the uterine cavity.The incidence of ectopic pregnancy has been on the rise since 1970.Currently, ex tremely sensitive pregnancy tests exist that allow early diagnosis of unsuspected cases of ectopics. Another method of discovery in the diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy is high-resolution endovaginal sonography.
